Rob Searcy -

Rob Searcy, Director of Technical Services

Rob has been the Technical Services Director since 2006. A native of Brandon, Florida, he grew up attending Bell Shoals Baptist Church.  He studied Vocal Performance and Business at the University of Mobile and University of South Florida (he’s a huge Florida Gators fan!). 

Prior to SMBC his work experience included various technical roles at Busch Gardens Tampa in the Entertainment Department, touring with TRUTH in 1996, serving as Interim Technical Director for Bell Shoals in 2001 - 2002, and traveling as Tour Manager, Production Manager, and FOH Audio Engineer for many different corporate events and with many artists, the last being Grammy Nominated, Dove Award Winner, Natalie Grant, before coming to Shades. 

Rob married the love of his life, Julia, on September 24, 2005.  His other loves include music, concert, baseball, anything UF, and their wonderful dog, Molly (the collie)!
