“Heart” – The center of the entire personality

-         master control area of life.

Jeremiah 17:9, “The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately sick; who can understand it?”

Matthew 15:19, “For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.”

Psalm 24:3-4, “Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD? And who shall stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully.”

“Pure”

a ) Clean

b)      Unmixed

c)      Authentic, sincere

Matthew 15:8, 'These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.”

Matt 23:27-28

27 "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men's bones and everything unclean. 28 In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.”

“See God”

a) We see only what we are able to see.

b) In the future, ultimately we will see God face-to-face.

Revelation 22:3-4, “…and His servants will worship Him. They will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads.”
