2. Isolation from the world 

3. Influence on the world

I. Salt

A. The purpose of salt:

1. Seasons/Flavors

2. Irritates

3. Creates thirst

4. Preserves

B. The Mandate for Followers of Christ: Get out of the saltshaker and penetrate the culture.

II. Light

“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

A. The purpose of light:  To illuminate, reveal, and guide.

B. The Mandate for Followers of Christ: Do good works and glorify the Father.
