From the Pastor's Heart -
Dear Church Family:
Much has occurred during the past several months at Shades Mountain Baptist Church, and I want to take an opportunity to share some important information with you. I wish that I could personally visit with each household, but obviously that is not possible. Through the information available on this page, it is my desire that our church will sense the leadership of God as we are faithful to Him in the days ahead.
On April 1, the church voted to move forward in completing the Master Plan for our campus. These needed additions and renovations will significantly impact our ministry to our community and beyond. It is our desire to step forward and financially make these plans become a reality.
Every Generation is the name chosen for our stewardship ministry. The proposed plans affect every generation, from children to Sr. Adults, and place us in a position to better minister and reach future generations. As part of our Every Generation emphasis, we are asking you—and every household in our church—to prayerfully consider making a sacrificial commitment (over and above your ongoing tithes and offerings) to be given over the next three years. It is our prayer to raise $14 million in order to move forward in our ministry. As you can see, Every Generation is an important step to our future and you are vital to its success.

These are exciting days of decision in our church. Let us commit to know and do the will of God. He has granted to each of us the privilege of being a part of a fellowship where the Spirit of God is so warm and alive. This privilege implies a responsibility of sharing our blessings with others.
