The light that shines the farthest shines the brightest at home.

"These are things we learned from our ancestors, and we will tell them to the next generation. We won't keep secret the glorious deeds and mighty miracles of the Lord. God gave his Law to Jacob's descendents, the people of Israel. And he told our ancestors to teach their children, so that each new generation would know his Law and tell it to the next generation. So each generation can set its hope anew on God, remembering his glorious miracles and obeying his commands."

And the people passed over opposite Jericho. Now the priests bearing the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan, and all Israel was passing over on dry ground until all the nation finished passing over the Jordan."
