I. That Night was INITIATED by God (v. 4a)

II. That Night there was an INCARNATION (v. 4b) 

"For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are--yet was without sin."

III. That Night was INTENTIONAL (v. 5)

The purpose for sending Jesus was to redeem and to adopt--salvation and sonship.

IV. That night restored an INTIMACY between God and man (v. 6)

"Jesus in Gethsemane cried out, 'Abba, Father! All things are possible for Thee; remove this cup from me; yet not as I will, but what Thou wilt.'"

V. That Night our INHERITANCE began to unfold (v. 7)
