A Word From Our Pastor -
This is an exciting time at Shades Mountain Baptist Church! Through the information available in this area of the website, it is my desire that you will sense the leadership of God as our church seeks to be faithful to Him in the area of our facilities.
By way of background, on April 1, 2007, the church voted to move forward in completing the Master Plan for our campus. The Master Plan affects every generation—from children to Sr. Adults—and the additions and renovations will significantly impact our ministry to our community and beyond. In short, it places us in a position to better minister and reach future generations. Our desire to step forward and financially make these plans become a reality was gloriously fulfilled in November 2007, when our congregation pledged almost $11.5 million (of the $15.5 million projected cost) to our Every Generation campaign.
I invite you to explore the links in this section. If you are not involved, I pray that you might consider both the impact we can have and your part in it! Even though we are well underway, a commitment card is provided; simply fill it out and mail to the SMBC Financial Office.
