I. Determination to Run the Race (v. 24)

A. Run in such a way that you may win
B. Remove the obstacles that fill your path


"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us."

"You were running a good race. Who cut in on you and kept you from obeying the truth?"

II. Discipline to Continue the Race (v. 25a, 27)

We are to deal with the first line of resistance, not the last avenue of escape.


III. Destination to Finish the Race (v. 25b-26)

"I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."
