Monday Night Bible Study – July 28, 2008
"for, 'Everyone who calls on the name of the
Lord will be saved.'
· “Everyone” = salvation is available to everyone who trusts Christ and Christ alone for his right standing with God.
· “call on the name of the Lord” = carries the idea of trusting Christ as the one true God, and thereby submitting to Christ and His authority, power, and rule in one’s life.
· “will be saved” = delivered from sin, hell, eternity separated from God; delivered to life, heaven, and a restored relationship with God.
