I. The purpose of the "portrait" is that you may believe in Jesus

John uses three things:

A. Signs (v. 30)

The word "signs" is connected with a word that means "to indicate; to make known." It points to something else.


Jesus' miracles were not an end in themselves, but they point men to God.
