Children's Sunday school
At Shades, Sunday school is an integral part of our identity and sense of community, and it is no different for our kids! In the Shades Kids Ministry, we are committed to fostering an environment where kids can grow in biblical knowledge, build healthy relationships, and develop spiritual habits that will encourage gospel transformation. Our desire is not only that your child would be grounded in biblical knowledge, but that their knowledge of Scripture would lead them to be transformed by the power of Jesus!
What curriculum are we currently using?
Currently our children are walking through Scripture chronologically over the period of two years using the Answers in Genesis curriculum as a framework for study. It is our desire that children would have the opportunity to study the entirety of Scripture three times before moving to middle school. Using crafts, games, and other creative ways to teach, we hope that children will leave the kids ministry with a genuine love for the Word of God and a desire to study it further.
When and Where does Sunday school take place?
Sunday school takes place each week at 8:00am or 11:00am for children grades 1st-6th. Children's Sunday school classes are located on the Second Floor of our Worship Center and are divided by grade. A dismissal card should be filled out by every parent with children in grades 1st-4th so parents can pick-up their children as desired (these are available in each room; just ask their teacher!).
