Shades is committed to a dynamic and holistic ministry to Single Adults. Perhaps more than most, Singles need the church to empower them to live out God’s calling for their lives. Consistent with our mission to create fully-devoted followers of Christ, the Singles ministry seeks to connect Singles to God through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to one another through intentional discipleship and community.

The Young Professionals are a group of vibrant twenty-something and early thirty-somethings who are seeking to obey God where He’s placed them. As we navigate together the transitions of early adulthood, we minister to one another in Sunday School, Bible study, Discipleship Groups, Service, and social events. God has a call for each and every person’s life, and we hope to love one another and encourage one another towards obedience to that call.
Our Median Professionals are those in their mid-thirties to their mid-fifties. The Median Professionals engage our church through a unique integrated model of ministry in Sunday School, which is a mix of both Singles and Marrieds, and in leadership and volunteering of ministry throughout the church body. God’s call to obedience extends far beyond husband and wife, and we encourage our Median Professionals as sons, daughters, parents, employers, employees, community leaders, and citizens of the kingdom of God.
Our Senior Professionals are those more seasoned saints who are still faithfully pursuing obedience to God. Whether never married, divorced, or widowed, this group meets in weekly Sunday School classes, and can be found volunteering and leading in a great many ministries through our church body.
The Single Again Ladies are a group of women ministering to one another in the after effects of divorce. Available at each hour, the Sunday School classes provide a place for ongoing authentic community of women from many different backgrounds. The Wednesday Night Support Group provides specific and needed encouragement. The pain of divorce is real and no one should have to face it alone.
