Family Ministry

Discipleship happens in the home

We believe the family is God's main avenue for discipleship.

He created the family unit to be a picture of his glory and goodness, and he shaped these relationships -- father, mother, brother, sister -- to be such that they fuel growth in and deeper affections for Christ.

Family ministry is how we care for, equip, and counsel families at Shades. Here you'll find information on events, resources, and other ways we help your family walk with Jesus.

GrandLife is our ministry to grandparents. A growing demographic, it's no longer retired men and women who are grandparents. Statistically, couples as early as their 40s are grandparents and we're seeing grandparents play a more integral role in the family unit in society today. If you're a grandparent and would like to be involved in this ministry, connect with us over on Facebook!

My Secure Family

The digital tools available to our families have not only opened up myriad ways for positive connection and communication, they've also opened the floodgates of access to sin and things of the world. The aim of My Secure Family is to equip families to deal with navigating technology in a way that honors God and prepares the next generation for making godly decisions.
