Shades Students Parents

We believe in the influence God has given your student. They can have an immeasurable impact on the Kingdom of God during these middle and high school years. But we also know this life stage stretches you as a parent, and we want to serve you in addition to discipling your student.

Stay tuned to this page for events, forms, and other resources!

  • Senior Recognition Service, Sunday, May 16th

We will be honoring our graduates in a special recognition service on Sunday, May 16th at 4:30PM. We need all seniors to register, even if they are not able to attend! We are gathering important information in our registration process.

  • Summer Camp 2021, "SHOOK", May 31-June 4th at Ocoee Ridge Camp in TN!

Meeting Jesus changes everything. We see time and again people in the Bible who are "SHOOK" by the person and work of Jesus Christ in their lives. People are transformed, and their lives never look the same. Yet when we look at many today who call themselves Christians, we see something different. In some ways, they are indistinguishable from the world. Their attitudes, actions and motives tell a different story about their experience with this person called Jesus. Have we been "SHOOK" by an encounter with Jesus?

  • Kansas City Student Mission Trip, June 22 - June 27th

We are so excited to offer this missions opportunity to all of our students! We will be serving New City Church - Raytown Campus in Kansas City, Missouri. Our students will engage in beautification projects focusing on clean up in the Raytown community and the church. We will take part in hosting a community outreach event called "Light Up the Dark". At this event, our student choir will be performing, and all of our students will have the opportunity to engage  in gospel conversations with those in attendance. Cost is $350.

In our world today, we know that parents are facing so many different challenges while raising your teens. Our HomePoint Ministry has provided a biblical perspective on the most common family seasons and challenges along with resources to help equip and encourage you.

Forms and Resources

Throughout the year, we'll have occasional forms for you to complete, but we also desire to resource you as a parent to best equip you to disciple your student and speak into what they face as middle schoolers and high schoolers in culture today.

We'll update this page periodically.
